The BBC has described 2016 as ‘the year the world changed’. In the midst of this, we at Our Lady of Fatima find ourselves on relatively solid ground with a clear vision for the future of our school, our teachers and our girls.
What drives this vision is our belief that, as a unique school, we add value to our Durban North community. We believe that we will continue to be innovative as we teach and practise the skills necessary for the 21st century - skills which include the sensible use of technology, tolerance of diversity, compassion for those in trouble, resilience and entrepreneurial savvy.
We endeavour to equip young women to go out and make a difference, and we encourage our girls to have a voice in a complicated world.
Our school is proud to be affiliated to both ISASA and the Catholic Board of Education. We believe that as a Catholic school we are strongly positioned to provide effective, holistic education in South Africa and that as a Girls’ School, we grow gracious girls who are encouraged to ‘let their lights shine’ in their own sphere of influence.
