Afrikaans Teacher - High School

January 2025 | Grade 8-12

We are looking to appoint a passionate and innovative Afrikaans teacher who is committed to making this subject really come alive for our girls. This exciting position is a wonderful opportunity for the successful candidate to encourage creative expression by providing a stimulating learning environment.

The successful candidate must be registered with SACE and fit the following profile:

  • Senior school trained educator with recent experience teaching Afrikaans, Grades 8 – 12.
  • Knowledge of the GET and FET curricula.
  • Recent experience in an IEB school will be an advantage.
  • An appreciation of the School’s traditions and Catholic ethos.
  • Sound interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively with learners, staff and parents.

Duties will include:

  • Attendance at related workshops and parent interviews.
  • A full and active role in the co-curricular life of the School.
